How Myles Garret sells the jab
The famous Chinese general Sun Zhu said, "All warfare is based on deception." And even though Sun Zhu didn't intend this comment for football, it couldn't be more applicable to pass rush.
Let's look at Myles Garett's jab as a perfect example of this...
For any jab to work, you must deceive the blocker and make him think you are rushing inside. Garett did this by faking inside with both his step and head to get the blocker to commit inside and then worked back outside with a chop to the upper arm.
It's not easy to master the art of deception, so below is a drill to help you practice selling the inside rush with your head and jab.
