DIY drill equipment

That's why for D-Line Examples #100 I'll be breaking down how to create your own DIY (do it yourself) equipment set.
Trash Cans
Instead of getting expensive pop ups, use trash cans to improve your D-Line's ability to hip flip and run stunt. You may even find a few laying around your school that you can pick up for free!

Lax Ball on String
Rather than carrying a bulky ball and stick around all day, simply attach some string to a LAX ball using a thumbtack and walla you have a grab and go tool to practice get off.
Cost: $16 (ball, string, thumbtack)
Rings
Rings can help break down complex movements, like flipping your hips, into simple step by step progressions (example below).

Cones
Cones should be in any D-Line coaches starter kit. They provide a way to easily create visual landmarks for players (e.g. bend of the edge).

Tennis balls
D-Line is all about stimulus response. The quicker the response the closer you'll be to making plays. Tennis balls can be used to develop this skill in both the pass and run.

Goal post
If you're school can't afford a sled, a goal post is a great alternative to work hand placement and hip explosion and the best part is that comes with any football field!
